Choose the right cone material

Material	Best for
Nickel	Standard choice for most routine aqueous analyses. Lowest cost.
Aluminium	Lower-cost alternative that avoids a nickel contribution when nickel is an analyte.
Platinum	Best for aggressive acids and organic solvents. Longest life and lowest background.
Platinum with Ni or Cu base	Platinum where it matters, on a durable base for better value.
