Nebulizer Blockages
Nebulizer blockages generally occur at the tip and can be difficult to spot, but with the Magnifier Inspection Tool you can check for foreign objects, or a build-up of salt around the tip orifice.
ICP-MS Cone Condition
The condition of your ICP-MS interface cones are critical to analytical performance. Simply use the
Mangifier Inspection Tool to check the cone orifice for pitting, matrix build-up or an enlargement at
the tip which can lead to elevated background and poor sensitivity. It's also a great way to confirm
whether your cleaning/maintenance procedures have been successful before reinstalling the interface
cones into your ICP-MS.
Capillary Tubing
Sample capillary tubing can often be a source of erratic results when undissolved material in your sample
solutions cause a partial blockage, increasing sample back pressure and poor nebulization. At 10X
magnification with LED illumination, the small capillary sample tubing can be carefully inspected for
